More scaffolding has appeared on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios amid the ongoing unannounced construction project that began earlier this year. Since Inside the Magic’s last update, the refurbishment of this iconic Walt Disney World Resort attraction has grown even more extensive. The outlet shared a photo of the current state of the iconic attraction facade on social media:The scaffolding on the left side of the building is most visible from the Villains: Unfairly Ever After courtyard. Like the scaffolding that appeared on the other side of the building in early July, it wraps around some windows and decorative tiling, suggesting that Walt Disney World Resort is completing refurbishment work on those decorative elements.Credit: Michael Gray, FlickrCrews are also visibly working on the right side of the building, where fresh pink paint appeared this week. Although it’s the same color as the rest of the building, it currently stands out because Disney cast members have yet to apply a “weathered” layer to the fresh paint. The exterior of the haunted drop ride is purposely cracked, weathered, and in disrepair; fresh, clean paint stands out.Walt Disney World Resort has yet to comment publicly on the construction of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which isn’t unusual. Even as it refreshed the entire exterior of the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney stayed silent on the work because the attraction inside the building remained operational.
