We’re going to see new Puella Magi Madoka Magica character and Soul Gem keychains based on the series appear alongside the launch of Madoka Magica the Movie Walpurgisnacht: Rising. The Soul Gem (and Grief Seed) one will show up the week of August 23, 2026 in Japan, and that costs 400 yen (~$2.50) per try. The one with characters from the series and movie will debut the week of August 30, 2026, and a try on that will be about 300 yen ($2). Both will be part of the Bandai Namco Gashapon capsule machine line, which means we should see them in the Canadian and US machines and shops after that. The Puella Magi Madoka Magica Soul Gem and Grief Seed keychains each come with a ball chain keychain at the top. The five Soul Gems all correspond to the ones tied to Madoka Kaname (pink), Homura Akemi (purple), Mami Tomoe (yellow), Sayaka Miki (blue), and Kyoko Sakura (red). The Grief Seed is a more generic one. All three of the gems have a flat base, so they can be displayed or used as an accessory, while the Grief Seed comes with a clear plastic stand. Each one is about seven centimeters tall (under two inches) and is designed to be a 1/1 scale replica. Each of those is six centimeters tall (about two inches) and is a flat, rubber charm on a ball-chain keychain. These depict the heroines and Kyubey in chibi form. Seven of them just feature the characters alone. However, there are also three “pair” ones that feature Madoka with Homura, Kyoko with Sayaka, and Mami with Nagisa.
