The Toffees are looking to tie the Senegal international down to a new deal, but talks have since stalled. It is explained that the wide forward is a player long admired by Tottenham, who have kept him on their radar.However, Spurs’ lack of European football could prove a hindrance as other clubs across Europe remain interested in Ndiaye.Commenting on the links, Brown told Football Insider: “Tottenham have been fans of Ndiaye for a while now.“So the news that he has turned down contract extensions at Everton will place them on alert, I am sure, and give them confidence a deal could be done.“It is going to be a difficult summer for Tottenham without European football, but they still have the ability to lure players in.“Roberto De Zerbi has assessed his squad now and he knows what positions he wants to improve. From what I am told, the addition of a new winger could be key.“Look at their current squad – they are losing Randal Kolo Muani, Mohammed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski have had serious injuries, Mathys Tel is hit and miss.“Ndiaye would be a real upgrade on all of those players, plus he has proven now that he can be consistent and perform well in the Premier League.“It is certainly something Spurs could look to explore if he becomes available. I would expect they will be among a number of clubs looking at that one.”Spurs could benefit from Ndiaye’s direct styleNdiaye would be a great addition to the Tottenham attack given his versatility and flair.
