San Francisco Giants pitcher Landen Roupp reclaimed the rainbow during the team’s Pride Night on Friday by writing a Bible verse on his cap as the organization had an LGBTQ celebration at Oracle Park.Roupp, who started against the Chicago Cubs, wore the special black Pride Night hat featuring a rainbow-colored “SF” logo but added “Genesis 9:12-16” in silver letters next to the team logo.The verses describe God’s covenant with Noah after the flood, using the rainbow as a sign of His promise never to destroy the earth with water again.“And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
