Chasten became a graded winner with this decisive 6 1/4-length score, and she's a half-sister to Eclipse champion Idiomatic (Curlin) out of a stakes-winning full-sister to Eclipse champion Close Hatches (First Defence)–all of those accomplishments on dirt. Meanwhile, the dam of runner-up Amalfi Drive (Medaglia d'Oro) is out of Sara Louise (Malibu Moon), a three-time graded winner–again, all on dirt.
