Walt Disney World Resort is putting the finishing touches on a new Quick-Service dining location coming to the EPCOT World Showcase. With just weeks to go until La Poutinerie joins the line-up of the Canada World Showcase Pavilion, Central Florida Disney Park guests are getting a first look at the restaurant taking over the former Refreshment Port location.La PoutinerieIn January, the Refreshment Port Quick-Service dining location near the World Celebration entrance to the EPCOT World Showcase closed for refurbishment. It wasn’t until a few months later that Walt Disney World Resort revealed that the restaurant, known for treats like DOLE Whip and specialty poutine, would never reopen.Credit: DisneyInstead, the Central Florida Disney park had partnered with Air Canada (its official Canadian airline) to open a new Quick-Service dining location called La Poutinerie. The new kiosk, which will also serve different types of poutine, brings the former Refreshment Port into the Canada World Showcase Pavilion, expanding the area’s footprint.Earlier this month, Walt Disney World Resort updated its website to reveal the menu for La Poutinerie and its grand-opening date. The restaurant will debut in the Canada World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT on Canada Day: July 1, 2026.Latest Construction Update at EPCOTCredit: DisneyOn June 11, WDWNT reported that crews were working on the chimney facade at La Poutinerie. Disney seems to be covering the chimney in decorative stonework, similar to what was installed on exterior support columns of the former Refreshment Port a few weeks ago.At the time of this reporting, at least one side of the chimney had yet to be decorated with stonework. Signage for La Poutinerie has yet to be installed on the building’s roof, which was repainted in early June.
