Turns out you can’t run a… https://t.co/Xh9B1Fc7GB— Gregory K Bovino (@GregoryKBovino) June 13, 2026Support for deporting criminal illegal immigrants now stands at 80 percent nationwide, including 90 percent of Republicans and 79% of independents.The findings come as immigration remains one of the most important issues for voters ahead of the 2026 midterms.The poll also found majority support for deporting illegal immigrants more broadly.Overall, 56 percent of voters support deporting all illegal immigrants living in the United States.Among Democrats, 37 percent support such a policy, while support among independents stands at 53 percent.The numbers suggest many Democratic voters are taking a different view of immigration than many of the party’s elected officials and activist groups, the majority of whom are aggressive supporters of open borders.The polling also comes as the Trump administration struggles to fulfill its promise of delivering mass deportations, with tens of millions still in the country illegally.Last month, the Department of Homeland Security said more than three million illegal aliens have either left the country or been removed since Trump returned to office.According to DHS figures, roughly 2.2 million migrants voluntarily departed through a self-deportation program offering free travel and financial assistance.Over 900,000 have been deported since January 2025.The administration has also reported approximately 900,000 arrests of illegal immigrants during the same period.The Harvard/Harris poll surveyed 1,725 registered voters between May 29 and May 30.
