A 22-year-old Bulgarian migrant has been found guilty of assaulting a group of Scottish schoolgirls, one of whom was armed with a knife and an axe, in Dundee after he sexually harassed them and then attacked them when they told him to leave. The case went massively viral last year after initial police statements and media reports appeared to blame the children instead of the adult who started the confrontation.WATCH:Remember when they all screamed “racist” at that brave 12 year old girl in Dundee for defending herself with a knife against that migrant who was threatening her and her friends? The left and the media rushed to paint her as the villain while the real predator Ilia Belov got… pic.twitter.com/YRJqLaeCvq— Allegiance Pledger (@burntoast317) June 12, 2026Ilia Belov was convicted at Dundee Sheriff Court of assaulting a 12-year-old girl and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner toward four girls aged between 12 and 14.His 20-year-old sister, Nadjedzha Belova, has already pleaded guilty to assaulting one of the girls by dragging her to the ground and hitting her in the head. The incident occurred in August in the Lochee area of Dundee.According to court evidence, Belov approached the group of girls and made sexual comments, including, “Hello sexy, I’ll show you a good time.”When the girls told him to go away and called him a creep, he returned with his sister and assaulted them. One of the girls, aged 13, pulled out a knife and axe she was carrying for protection, and video of the confrontation quickly went viral online.During the trial, Belov claimed he had been provoked by the girls calling him a “fucking migrant” and that he had only acted in self-defense after seeing the weapons.Sheriff Timothy Niven-Smith rejected these claims, describing Belov’s evidence as “wholly unconvincing and self-serving.”The judge ruled that Belov’s own sexual remarks were the clear trigger for the incident and found him guilty. The sheriff also praised the girls’ testimony as “eloquent.”In the days following the attack, police and some media outlets initially framed the Bulgarian siblings as the victims.Police Scotland issued statements warning against “misinformation” and charged a 12-year-old girl with possession of offensive weapons.Several politicians, including former First Minister Humza Yousaf, accused online figures of spreading false claims about the case. However, after further investigation and review of CCTV evidence, police later admitted that their initial public information “did not fully reflect the situation.”The mother of one of the victims welcomed the conviction, stating that the girls had been telling the truth from the beginning but were unfairly slandered.“I’m so relieved the whole story has finally come out,” the mother told The Sun. “It’s been heartbreaking. They told the truth from the start but no-one believed them.”“Everyone was more focused on the axe than anything else so didn’t listen to what really happened,” she continued. “We are just a wee, ordinary family. I’m just glad that it’s finally all sorted and we can begin to move on.”Both siblings are due to be sentenced on August 5.The post VINDICATED: Migrant Convicted in Viral Dundee Axe Girl Case After Blaming the Victims He Harassed appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
