The legal setback forced Mayes’ office into a race against procedural deadlines, ultimately resulting in the dismissal of the current indictment.The original April 2024 indictments targeted 18 Americans, including Giuliani, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, attorney John Eastman, RNC counsel Christina Bobb, and Arizona Republican leaders such as former state party chair Kelli Ward.
