Guwahati is set to host the India-Japan annual summit from July 1-3, marking a significant shift to the Northeast. Prime Minister Toshihiro Suzuki of Suzuki Motor will lead a delegation of around 50 Japanese business leaders, including executives from Itochu and Toyota Tsusho.
