Delicata’s Classic Wine Festival Returns To Valletta This August

The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is set to return to Valletta this summer, bringing three nights of wine, live music and food to the Upper Barrakka Gardens.Taking place on 7th, 8th and 9th August, the festival will celebrate its 23rd edition, cementing its place as one of Malta’s longest-running wine festivals and a staple of the local summer calendar.Visitors will be able to sample more than 20 wines from Delicata’s portfolio, including award-winning labels, the recently launched Ziffa range, boutique collections such as Medina and Victoria Heights, and the winery’s premium Gran Cavalier and Grand Vin de Hauteville selections.The festival will also feature Delicata’s popular semi-sparkling Frizzantes made from the native Maltese grape varieties Girgentina and Ġellewża, alongside lighter lifestyle options and SpritZZers.Beyond the wine, several of Malta’s leading food operators will be serving a range of local and international dishes, including Corinthia Caterers, Busy Bee, Malta Marriott Resort and Ali Baba Restaurant.Live entertainment will run throughout the three-day event, with performances by Relikc, Glen & Amber, Kevin Paul & Band, Airport Impressions, The Crowns featuring Matthew James, and a special sing-along finale featuring Fabrizio Faniello, Ludwig Galea and Michela Galea accompanied by the Spiteri Lucas Band.Entry to the Upper Barrakka Gardens is free. Wine will be served through a cashless coin system, with visitors able to purchase a €26 wine purse that includes 24 wine coins and a souvenir wine glass.The festival opens daily at 7pm, with wine service running until 11.30pm and the gardens closing at midnight.Share this with your favourite wine buddy!•
