Hospitals & drug companies that MAKE MONEY from people who are sick have no real interest in stopping them from being sick, ultimately their profit margins are inflated from not offering the most effective solution, but the one that maintains the most revenue. Interestingly, insurance companies don't seem to have figured this out - in fact, they're almost making it worse. They'll often require patients to try older, less effective treatments/medications before they'll authorize payment for newer ones, simply because the older ones are cheaper, seemingly not realizing that the chances of older medication not working tends to outweigh the amount of money they'd save if it did. Regardless, I find it really funny that the same idiots who whined endlessly about Big Pharma poisoning them with the COVID shots are against universal healthcare. They don't even have a response when you bring up that Big Pharma benefits from a lack of universal healthcare in the US - they just shut down.
