A new Maltese publishing initiative is hoping to spark important conversations around mental health while raising thousands of euros for charity.Launched under a new imprint called FKSuffering, the project focuses on emotional wellbeing, mental health and creating spaces where people can feel seen, heard and understood.Beyond the book itself, the team behind the initiative has set an ambitious goal of raising €50,000 for mental health organisations including Richmond Foundation and Samaritans UK.To help reach that target, 100% of all e-book royalties will be donated, alongside proceeds from signed hardcovers and a range of merchandise connected to the project. The publication is also the result of a major collaborative effort involving more than 20 local artists and creatives, showcasing a wealth of Maltese talent. Its creators say the final product matches the quality associated with leading international publishing houses, highlighting the level of craftsmanship and attention that went into bringing the project to life. The book has also received endorsements from prominent figures including advertising executive Rory Sutherland and Dr Charles Cassar, former president of the European Association of Psychotherapy. At its core, however, the project is about much more than publishing. It’s about continuing the conversation around mental health and reminding people that they are not alone.By combining storytelling, art and philanthropy, FKSuffering hopes to make a meaningful impact both on readers and on the organisations working every day to support mental wellbeing.Share with a book lover!•
