WATCH: Trump Says He’ll Hold a Press Conference to Read Entire Text of Memorandum of Understanding With Iran “Word-by-Word”

President Trump on Tuesday said he plans to read the memorandum of understanding “word-by-word” to reporters during a press conference amid criticism of the deal. Trump told reporters that he expects the next stage of negotiations to “go pretty quickly,” confirming that the deal outlines a 60-day ceasefire to continue talks. “I think they’re going to want to get it done. Iran wants to get it done; they have to get back to business, and the relationship is now normalized, so I think it’s going to go pretty quickly. Could go faster, could take longer too, but it could go fast,” he said. When asked about releasing the text of the deal, Trump revealed that he plans to not only release it but also hold a press conference to read it word for word and ostensibly take questions once the agreement is made public.“I’d like to get a formal setting for us before we do that, but I have no problem with that. It’s a great document. Here’s what it says: Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. That’s what it says. It won’t have one to buy, to develop, they will not have a nuclear weapon, and I would say that’s about 99.9% of what I wanted, because we couldn’t let that happen,” Trump said.“In addition to that, the Strait is going to be open toll-free, and it’s toll-free beyond the 60 days.”Trump continued, “I will, actually, I’ll literally release it. I’ll probably have a press conference and read it to you, word-by-word, so that the press covers it accurately because it’s a very important document, and unlike Obama, who could have destroyed the Middle East with a horrible JCPOA— it is the worst agreement that was a road to a nuclear weapon— Mine is a wall against a nuclear weapon.”“I’ll go over the document with the media in a couple of days,” he added.WATCH:!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src="https://rumble.com/embedJS/u2vbt6g"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:'')+"/?url="+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+"&args="+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, "script", "Rumble");Rumble("play", {"video":"v796x9c","div":"rumble_v796x9c"});Trump’s Neocon supposed allies, including Senator Lindsey Graham, are crying for Trump to release the text of the deal and casting doubt upon the terms.Graham said in an X post on Monday that he’ll be “watching closely the ensuing negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program and other matters,” as if he’s Trump’s boss. “I am somewhat concerned that Iran’s view of the agreement seems different than what the American negotiating team is claiming,” he added, demanding that the deal be sent to Congress for final approval.I am pleased to hear the memorandum of understanding with Iran to allow the Strait of Hormuz to open has been agreed to. Not through people briefed by an anonymous person. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like this. If it is a great outcome for peace, then release it.— Mark R.
