Samsung started rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 7 earlier this month. The update was first released in Samsung's home country of South Korea. The company has now rolled out the update in the United States. Update now to secure your deviceThe latest firmware has been rolled out for the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 7. It primarily brings the May 2026 security patch which includes fixes for 36 security issues. It's recommended to update to the latest firmware so that the device is secure against the threats identified. The firmware version L330XXS2AZE1 and L310XXS2BZE1 have been rolled out for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8. These new builds are available for all variants of these models, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra. In addition to the update being rolled out in South Korea and now the United States, Samsung has also made it available in a number of other markets across Europe and South Asia.Given that these are security updates, don't expect to find any new features. If you haven't yet received the update notification on your device, you can head over to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install for manual installation of the latest Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 7 firmware.
