A member of the Armed Forces of Malta has successfully completed a prestigious military training programme in the United States.Second Lieutenant Aidan Dwight Mallia recently graduated from the Signal Basic Officer Leader Course (SBOLC), an intensive 18-week programme designed to develop the next generation of military communications and leadership specialists.According to the AFM, the course provided comprehensive training in communications and information systems, leadership, network operations, tactical communications, cybersecurity fundamentals, signal planning and mission command systems.The programme is aimed at equipping officers with the technical expertise and leadership skills needed to support command and control operations in modern military environments.Mallia’s training culminated in a demanding four-day field exercise focused on retransmission communications operations, requiring participants to establish, operate and maintain tactical communication networks under challenging field conditions.The course concluded with a gruelling 10-mile ruck march, testing the endurance, resilience and determination of all participants.The AFM congratulated Mallia on the achievement, describing it as an important milestone in his military career and a testament to the professionalism of Maltese servicemen and women abroad.Congratulating Second Lieutenant Aidan Mallia!!•
