Darts sensation Beau Greaves has been seeded for the first time after only half a year on the PDC Tour.Greaves has been making waves in darts of late and now holds a PDC Tour Card, granting her automatic entry to all Players Championship events and a place in qualifying for various major tournaments, including the World Championship.Greaves in action at the 2026 PDC World Darts ChampionshipGettyAnd the 22-year-old was seeded for Wednesday’s Players Championship 22 in Wigan following the withdrawal of 2024 world champion Luke Humphries.A three-time back-to-back winner of the WDF World Championship, Greaves made history at the sixth round of the 2026 Players Championship series by becoming the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC ProTour, doing so against Mensur Suljovic.However, Greaves’ run at Players Championship 22 was a short one as she went out in the first round.The 2025 World Youth Championship runner-up was beaten 6-1 by world number 31 Ritchie Edhouse.Beau ‘n’ Arrow’s next opportunity for Players Championship success will come at round 23 in Leicester next month.The series runs throughout the year across various venues in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany, culminating with the Players Championship Finals at Butlin’s Minehead Resort in November.The Players Championship Finals are among the year’s 10 PDC major tournaments, the next of which is the World Matchplay in Blackpool from July 18 to July 26.Greaves enjoyed her best major performance when she reached the last 64 of the 2025 UK Open, beating Stefan Bellmont and Rhys Griffin before losing to Mickey Mansell.The Doncaster-born player has featured at two PDC World Championships, narrowly losing 3-2 to Daryl Gurney in the first round of the 2026 edition.It’s already been a momentous year for Greaves, who in April became the first woman to win a PDC ranking title, defeating former world champion Michael Smith 8-7 in the final of Players Championship 11.Greaves was visibly emotional after beating Michael Smith in the Players Championship 11 finalPDCGreaves knocked out another ex-world champion, Gary Anderson, en route and expressed her joy at perhaps the biggest milestone of her career to date.“I’ve had a great year, but I never thought I’d win one of these [Players Championships],” she said.“Today I played really well.
