Right! Not the same as a new child, but I just ordered a new freezer this past week after agonizing about the price for months. We don't *need* it to survive, but I do a lot of freezer prep to feed the family and it was something that benefited us greatly. I'm a product of what in the US would be considered extreme poverty and it's HARD to see any of the money go, but it's why we put money aside every month. Kinda kicking myself I didn't start a fundraiser to pay for it... /s
