A 17-year-old from Msida was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with alleged drug trafficking in Ħal Għaxaq.Police said they had been monitoring the teenager and observed what they described as suspicious movements, including several meetings with different individuals, which were suspected to be linked to drug dealing.Following a period of surveillance, officers arrested the youth and carried out a search, during which they allegedly found 53 sachets containing a substance suspected to be cocaine, 11 sachets containing a substance suspected to be heroin and three sachets containing a substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis.Police also seized mobile phones, cash and other items allegedly linked to drug trafficking.The teenager is being held at the Floriana Police lock-up and is expected to be arraigned in court today at around 11am before Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech.Investigations are ongoing.•
