Far-left online influencer Hasan Piker compares Israel to Nazi Germany while denying the Jewish state’s right to exist.By World Israel News StaffFar-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker said Israel does not have a right to exist “in its current formation,” arguing during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” podcast that the country’s current political structure is comparable to other historical regimes that should not have continued to exist.Piker made the comments in an interview with host Lenard McKelvey, better known by the pseudonym Charlamagne tha God, who asked whether both Israel and a Palestinian state have a right to exist.“I think Israel, in its current formation, given that it’s a settler-colonial operation that’s seeking out the expulsion or complete extermination of the indigenous population, as an apartheid state, does not have a right to exist,” Piker said.He then compared Israel’s current form to Nazi Germany, apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia.“It’s like, for me, it’s like saying, does Nazi Germany have a right to exist, or does apartheid South Africa have a right to exist? Does Rhodesia have a right to exist? No, of course not,” Piker said.“People have a right to exist, people do exist, Israel currently exists. It’s just a matter of: are they following international humanitarian laws? And they certainly are not. And I want to change that.”Charlamagne pressed Piker on whether the argument was similar to saying that MAGA does not have a right to exist as a movement.“Like a movement, exactly,” Piker said.He said that rejecting the legitimacy of a political structure does not mean calling for violence against the people who live under it.“Like, that doesn’t mean that, you know, that doesn’t mean kill all Republicans or whatever, right? I mean, I’m sure that’s how people would present it,” Piker said.“I mean, this is a trick that every political movement deploys, right. You say ‘black lives matter,’ they turn around and say, ‘Oh, how about all lives matter? You’re saying black lives matter, which means you’re saying white lives don’t matter.’ It’s like, no, that’s a whole different sentence.”Piker said the recurring question of whether Israel has a right to exist is used to redirect debate away from Israeli conduct toward Palestinians.“So the ‘does Israel have a right to exist’ deployment, as a statement, as a question, is a technique to shift the conversation away from Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians to make it seem like the opposition is actually being crazy and they want all Jews to be exterminated, all Israelis to be exterminated, which is not the case,” he said. The exchange came during a broader interview in which Piker discussed anti-Zionism, Democratic Socialists of America, Elon Musk and his recent UK entry ban. The Breakfast Club episode was released this week under the title “Hasan Piker Talks Democratic Socialists of America, Being Banned From The UK, Anti-Zionism, Elon Musk + More.”Piker’s remarks followed a separate discussion about comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who was asked outside a New York Knicks game to say “Free Palestine” and responded, “It doesn’t exist.”Piker called Seinfeld “a gross racist” and said denying Palestine’s existence was a common pro-Israel argument.“Palestine existed under Ottoman occupation initially under the Ottoman Empire, and then it became a British holdover occupied state, British-occupied Palestine,” Piker said. “It’s existed for far longer than Israel has. Israel’s only existed since 1948.”Earlier this month, the UK blocked both Piker and his uncle, “The Young Turks” co-host Cenk Uygur, from entering the country for planned speaking events.Britain’s interior ministry said the travel authorization for “these individuals” had been canceled because their presence “may not be conducive to the public good,” though it did not cite Israel in the statement.Piker had previously said Hamas was “a thousand times better than Israel” and that he would vote for Hamas over Israel, comments that drew criticism from opponents who accused him of extremism. The post Online influencer Hasan Piker declares Israel has no right to exist appeared first on World Israel News.
