People leave all manner of things in the mailroom where I am--books, DVDs, occasionally a nice jacket, etc. The turnover is brisk and day-affirming. There's a sign from management reading "Do NOT leave things other than mail and packages here! They will be thrown away by Management!" but everyone ignores it, which is funny every time. There's a collective awareness that Management is not onsite & their cheap asses didn't even put in real cameras.
