Good news for swimmers heading to Birżebbuġa this week.The Environmental Health Directorate has announced that the swimming advisory near Dawret il-Qalb Imqaddsa in Birżebbuġa previously issued for part of the coastline has officially been lifted after recent seawater tests confirmed the area is once again safe for bathing.The notice applies to the bathing site located between points A13 and A14 along Dawret il-Qalb Imqaddsa in Birżebbuġa.According to the Directorate, several seawater samples were collected and analysed over the past few days following the initial warning issued on 8th June.The latest results showed that water quality has returned to acceptable levels, meaning the public can once again swim in the area without restrictions.As a result, the advisory against bathing at the site has now been withdrawn.The Environmental Health Directorate said the decision was taken in line with the Bathing Water Directive, which requires regular monitoring of Malta’s designated swimming zones to ensure public health and safety.With temperatures set to rise this week and summer officially around the corner, beachgoers in Birżebbuġa can once again make the most of the coastline.Share with someone who lives in that area!•
