Thomas Tuchel got his team selection wrong despite England’s win over Croatia – he needs to make two changes against Ghana. That’s the opinion of talkSPORT host and ex-Three Lions striker Darren Bent, who wants to see a couple of switches made.Tuchel has been told to start Guehi and Rashford against Ghana next weekGettyEngland won their World Cup opener 4-2 on Wednesday night, kicking off their tournament with a victory in Group L.Harry Kane scored two in the first half of the clash in Dallas, but each time Croatia managed to bring the game level. In the second half though, Tuchel’s side stepped up and claimed the three points, thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham and substitute Marcus Rashford. It was a largely positive night, but Bent has raised concerns over the Three Lions’ starting line-up and wants to see some changes. He said on talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday morning: “I think there’s a lot of boxes that Thomas Tuchel would have ticked, but the team selection he got wrong.“I would have started Rashford and Marc Guehi has to play.”Pressed on why he thinks Guehi has to start, Bent then explained: “John Stones naturally plays on the right-hand side.“When you move him to the left, naturally, he doesn’t go that way and out to Nico O’Reilly, which is why he barely touched the ball.“Guehi plays on that side, so he’s used to receiving it and going out to the left, but that wasn’t there and that’s why we didn’t see anything down the left-hand side.“I would have started him and Rashford, for sure. They would have been the two to have started.”Bent wants to see Guehi start at left centre-back over Stones against GhanaGettyRashford scored off the bench in England’s opener and could start next time outGettyIf Tuchel is to make the changes that Bent believes he should, then this would be the line-up for England vs Ghana. Guehi would join Ezri Konsa, O’Reilly and Reece James in the back four, while Rashford would start on the opposite flank of Noni Madueke, with Stones and Anthony Gordon benched.Bent’s England XI vs Ghana: Pickford, James, Konsa, Guehi, O’Reilly, Anderson, Rice, Bellingham, Madueke, Rashford, Kane.‘A completely different test’Despite his concern over England’s starting line-up against Croatia, Bent certainly isn’t worried about the remaining group games.“Neither of these teams worry me,” he admitted when speaking about the threat of Group L rivals Ghana and Panama. “It will be a different type of test and they’re going to be physical and powerful, fit, a completely different test. How England have been told to line-up against GhanaGhana won their opening game of the World Cup 1-0 with a last-gasp winnerGetty“You’re coming up against a side now that come from a continent that are used to these kinds of conditions. “Getting over the line with the first one, it’s Ghana and Panama next. Ghana will show up, it’s almost like their cup final as we have some of the England arrogance like ‘we’re going to win it’.”When is England vs Ghana?
