A former scout has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are exploring the possibility of bringing back club legend Heung-min Son, who amassed 454 appearances and contributed to 274 goals during his time in north London.Tottenham Hotspur are doing everything they can to get back to competing with some of the very best in England after two disastrous seasons.Several decisions on the pitch have contributed to the Lilywhites’ downturn in form, but work is being done this summer to address that after the Lewis family promised to go all in.We have since seen the signings of Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson, while it is understood that a deal has been reached with Brighton & Hove Albion for Jan Paul van Hecke – all in an attempt to strengthen the squad and give Roberto De Zerbi everything he needs to be competitive.Photo by Julian Finney – FIFA/FIFA via Getty ImagesTottenham linked with Heung-min Son returnWhile the defence has received the majority of the attention, there is an expectation that the attack will also be strengthened, and there are now whispers that a club legend could be set for a return. This is according to Tottenham News, who relayed comments from former club scout Bryan King regarding a potential move involving former Spurs captain Heung-min Son. The claim centres on Tottenham’s reported interest in bringing the South Korean back to north London. That is according to the former scout, who says he has heard about an approach for the Los Angeles FC forward.Speaking to Tottenham News, King said: “This is from someone who I know – Spurs were trying to get Son back for a year, for the season coming.“He’d certainly generate some interest if he came back. There’s always the possibility of him coming on loan.”Surely it makes little sense for Spurs or SonnyHeung-min Son left on the best possible note after winning the Europa League with Tottenham in Ange Postecoglou’s second season. That triumph secured his legacy as a club legend, with the forward helping to end a nearly two-decade wait for silverware. The South Korean has since settled into life in MLS with Los Angeles FC, and, with him now 33 years of age, it seems very unlikely Tottenham will move to bring him back. After all, they didn’t even make an attempt to bring him back on loan during the MLS off-season when they were fighting relegation.Spurs have, however, been linked with several wide players, including Manchester City’s Savinho, who they are reportedly looking to sign for £60m.READ MORE: Five players Tottenham could offer Newcastle in a Sandro Tonali swap dealThe post Tottenham eye surprise reunion with a club legend who scored 274 goals for Spurs appeared first on Spurs Web.
