NAIROBI, Kenya, Jun 19 — The National Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a violent attack at Chemilil Academy in Muhoroni Sub-County that left several people injured.In a statement, police spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga said “the incident occurred on the morning of June 18 when a group of suspected goons armed with crude weapons stormed the institution and assaulted several individuals.”He identified the suspects as Bernard Ouma, Thomas Onyango and Walter Owa. “The three are currently assisting investigators and are expected to be arraigned in court upon completion of investigations.”He added that efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals believed to have participated in the attack.Nyaga further condemned rising incidents of political intolerance, violence and goonism, warning that individuals involved in acts of violence or disruption of lawful activities will face firm legal action.
