A preliminary inquiry by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) into allegations of assault at a Christian worship centre in Pathanamthitta has uncovered similar experiences among other children housed there. Officials revealed that children were allegedly subjected to abuse and exploitation, with some forced to work without pay. The centre, which housed children and the elderly, has been closed following the allegations.
