Malta Police Force Celebrates 212th Anniversary With Events Across Malta And Gozo

Want to see police dogs in action, watch a precision drill display or enjoy a live concert by the Malta Police Band?The Malta Police Force is marking its 212th anniversary this July with a series of family friendly events across Malta and Gozo as part of Police Week 2026.Members of the public are invited to get a closer look at different police units, including the K9 Unit, Mounted Police and Community Police officers, while enjoying live demonstrations, music and interactive activities.The first event will be held on Saturday, 4th July at 10am at Freedom Square, Valletta. The celebrations will then continue on Sunday, 12th July at 7.30pm at Triq iż-Żonqor, Marsaskala. A third event will take place on Monday, 13th July at 7.30pm at Għajnsielem Parish Square, Gozo.Police Week aims to bring the force closer to the community, giving families the chance to meet officers, learn more about the work they do and experience a different side of policing beyond day-to-day operations.The events form part of the force’s 212th anniversary celebrations, marking more than two centuries of service to the Maltese community.Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.Tag someone who would be interested to know•
