KEA opens window for CET option entry for students, 10 days given for submission - The HinduPublished - June 20, 2026 09:46 pm IST - BengaluruThe KEA has advised students appearing for the NEET re-examination on Sunday to focus on their exam for now and enter their CET options after Monday. | Photo Credit: ALLEN EGENUSE J.The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the option entry portal for candidates on its website from Saturday, as part of the first round of seat allotment for admissions to professional courses, including engineering, veterinary, agriculture and others.KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna stated in a release, “Candidates can enter their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority on June 30 until 10 a.m. The mock seat allotment result will be announced on July 6 at 11 a.m. Candidates will be allowed to add, delete, modify, or rearrange their options until July 9. The final seat allotment result will be published on July 15, three days later.”Focus on NEETThe KEA has advised students appearing for the NEET re-exam on Sunday to focus on their exam for now and enter their CET options after Monday.Mr. Prasanna added, “The seat matrix for Agriculture, Veterinary Science, and BSc Nursing courses has already been released. For Engineering courses, only the draft seat matrix has been published, and the KEA is awaiting the final version. Once available, all details will be uploaded to the website. Until then, candidates need not wait and may enter their options based on the draft seat matrix.”In order to help students, the KEA has also released a video on their website on how to enter options for courses and preferred colleges.No pre-round counsellingThis year, there is no pre-round counselling for students. “To avoid delays for students seeking admission to non-medical courses due to the NEET re-examination issue, the KEA has decided to drop its earlier plan of conducting a pre-round seat allotment.
