Conrad Borg Manché says he decided to contest the upcoming general election with the PN because he could no longer support a government that “betrayed the people”.In a lengthy Facebook post, Borg Manché said his decision was not taken overnight but came after years of frustration over issues affecting families, communities and the environment.“I entered politics to serve, not to be served,” he wrote.Borg Manché pointed to several campaigns and legal battles he was involved in over the years, including opening public access to Manoel Island and opposing plans for a petrol station in a public garden in Gżira. He also criticised the government over what he described as failed reforms within the Family Court system, saying parents and children continue suffering while promised changes never materialised.“When I saw reform promises disappear into nothing, I had to choose: stay silent or fight for what is right. I chose to fight,” he said.Borg Manché added that many people understood why he “could no longer support a party in government” that he believes betrayed both him and the Maltese people. He is expected to address a PN mass rally in Ħal Qormi later this evening. What do you make of Conrad Borg Manché’s comments?•
