Since many in the group live in the Midwest, Chicago would be a much more reasonable option. Beautiful city. Walkable. Museums. The Art Institute. Theater scene. The Lake. No enormous falls, but Niagara isn’t close to NYC either, and there are plenty of beauty spots in surrounding areas. Could venture north to Wisconsin or east to Michigan for even more good options, especially for secluded places to rent a house for a few days.
