Netflix has announced a star-studded broadcast team for Saturday’s women’s MMA super fight between Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano.The streaming platform has pulled out all the stops for its first foray into the sport, live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.Rousey and Carano will both end long streaks away from MMA when they fight in LAShutterstock EditorialNetflix’s Elle Duncan leads the desk alongside former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and veteran combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani.All of the action will be called blow-by-blow by the iconic voice of PRIDE FC, Mauro Ranallo, with three-time UFC title challenger Kenny Florian in support and Sean Wheelock overseeing the rules and scoring.Expert analysis will also be provided by two-weight UFC champion Jon Jones, former UFC heavyweight titlist Cain Velasquez, and women’s MMA pioneer Cat Zingano.Kody ‘Big Mo’ Mommaerts re-assumes his role as the announcer for another Netflix showcase, while Sibley Scoles acts as the backstage reporter.The event is being promoted by Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions, which has staged four of the six combat sports cards that have been broadcast on Netflix.Rousey had initially been in discussions with Dana White about facing Carano in the UFC.However, the UFC became a bad fit after ditching its PPV business model to join Paramount+.What did Rousey say about talks with the UFC?“I have much love and respect for Dana [White].
