jesus, dude, maybe they aren't "kidnapping someone" but they're certainly using a lot of loaded, ambiguous, & faux-friendly language to mislead & lure what's likely to be a young & financially desperate person into an exploitative situation that may be difficult to escape, especially if they're a student. nobody with a much financial flexibility or security is going to be choosing this route. it says quite a lot, none of it great, that you're exponentially more worried in this scenario about the wealthy family than this latter person. how many exploited poor kids roped into unpaid domestic work do you think wind up "financially crippled," do you think?
