wow, gross. i've worked with FGLI students at an ivy league for about fifteen years. you don't understand the first thing about what poor kids who attend rich kid schools go through, what agreements they can end up cornered into, what they don't have the resources to navigate if it goes wrong. a naive kid who enters an ambiguous, quasi-legal agreement like this, doesn't fully understand the ways it can go off the rails or the ways people can be dishonest, & doesn't realize their situation is untenable until halfway into the semester, with all costs sunk & very possibly a visa in the mix, can lose absolutely everything. this listing is CAMBRIDGE. who do you think they're targeting, exactly? this is laser targeted on rich kid school territory & we're talking about a position that no adult with money would ever consider taking. if you don't see a problem worth being angry about here, that problem is actually you. imagine suggesting sanctimoniously that these objectively incredibly wealthy people could be "financially crippled" by the basic prospect of paying their own fucking completely predictable bills & then telling me i'm being dramatic for worrying about the person they're targeting to take on that financial discomfort on their behalf. jesus. please go ahead & clutch your "won't someone think of the millionaires"-tinted pearls elsewhere.
