Alex Borg has proposed the creation of a joint national security task force between the Armed Forces of Malta and the Malta Police Force as part of the PN’s proposals on crime and migration.Speaking during a Nationalist Party press event, Borg said the task force would aim to strengthen national security and intensify the fight against organised crime in Malta.According to the proposal, the unit would focus specifically on foreign criminals, people residing illegally in Malta, drug trafficking and human trafficking.Borg said the measure forms part of the PN’s wider plans to address growing concerns around security, migration and criminal networks operating in Malta.The proposal comes as crime, border control and irregular migration continue to feature prominently in the national political debate ahead of the next election.What do you make of this proposal?•
