6/1 with BetMGMPremier League Darts – Week 15 predictionLast week saw Luke Littler become the first player in over two years to win three consecutive nights of Premier League Darts, beating reigning champion Luke Humphries 6-5 in Leeds, just as he did in Aberdeen the week before. The victory guaranteed the world number one the top seeded spot heading into next week’s final night of league stage action, and puts him in prime position for a first place finish and a semi final against the fourth player in the play offs in a fortnight’s time. The two-time reigning world champion, after a slow start to the campaign now boasts a five point lead at the top of the standings following his sixth nightly victory last week, and heads into this week’s action in Birmingham already guaranteed of his place in the play offs in London.Tonight sees the teenager take on Jonny Clayton in the final quarter final of the night in a crunch match between the runaway leaders at the top of the league, both of whom already qualified from the league stage.Clayton had led the standings for the majority of the season prior to Littler’s recent hat trick of wins, and has four nightly wins to his name, twice as many as the next best, upon his return to the Premier League after being overlooked for selection in the last two editions. The winner of that blockbuster clash will take on the winner of either Luke Humphries or Stephen Bunting, each looking to pick up as many points in the final two weeks of the league phase after disappointing campaigns so far.Defending champion Humphries had a desperately slow start to the campaign which saw him win only one semi final in the opening 12 weeks, but consecutive final appearances in the last two weeks, albeit in narrow losses to Littler has at least propelled him back into the all-important top four, just one point above the chasing pack.Bunting has fallen to defeat in nine of his 14 quarter finals this year, with only one semi final victory, albeit on a night he went all the way to win the final, but his lack of consistent wins leaves him sat in seventh place and needing something miraculous to book his place in the last four.‘The Bullet’ currently has a six point gap between himself and Humphries in the final play off spot, making tomorrow’s quarter final a must win game for the Scouser. The opening match of the night sees Josh Rock, whose elimination from his first season in the Premier League has already been confirmed after just four wins on tournament, comes up against fellow rookie Gian van Veen. The World Championship runner up has impressed in his first year in the Premier League, reaching four finals but is yet to get his hands on a nightly trophy, and has slipped down in the table in recent weeks after just two wins in his last seven matches. The reigning world youth champion is currently sixth in the standings, three points behind Humphries in the fourth and final play off spot. The winner of the two rookies’ bout will take on either Gerwyn Price or Michael van Gerwen, the Welshman currently the batter placed of the two with two nightly wins leaving him third in the table, but just one win in six has left him looking over his shoulder slightly, with there only being a three point gap between him and his quarter final opponent on Thursday.Van Gerwen is a seven-time Premier League champion but still has work to do to book his ticket to London having dropped out of the top four last week following his second consecutive semi final exit, leaving him without a nightly win since the opening week of the season.None of the top half of this week’s draw won a match last week, with all of them fighting for form but leaving them with a fantastic opportunity to earn some much needed points this week, perhaps Gerwyn Price the most likely to capitalise on a kind draw. It’s difficult to see one of the two Lukes not winning this week’s event in Birmingham, Humphries is still yet to win a night but has finally found some form and, with him being more in need of a win that Littler now, Thursday could finally be his night.Premier League Darts – Week 15 betting tipsHumphries on the upLuke Humphries’ title defence hasn’t exactly gone to plan with the world number two still yet to record a nightly win heading into the penultimate week of the league stage. The 2024 world champion has reached the last two finals though, losing in a deciding leg on each occasion to league leader Littler, leaving tonight the chance for a third time lucky opportunity at the perfect time as the play off race hots up.Despite his disappointing campaign, Humphries boasts the highest average across the entire Premier League this year.Luke Humphries to win Week 15 at 4/1 with BetMGMThe Price is rightNone of the top half of this week’s draw head into Birmingham in any sort of form having all lost last week’s quarter finals, leaving the door open for a theoretically kind route to this week’s final.Price has been dragged back into the play off battle in recent weeks despite occupying a top four spot ever since Week 2, and a strong showing on Thursday would go a long to securing a play off berth.Gerwyn Price to
