Samsung is moving toward faster magnetic wireless charging for its phones. Currently, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the companyâs fastest wireless charging phone, featuring 25W wireless charging. However, those speeds could eventually reach 50W, as the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) is taking important steps in that direction.IT Home reports that the WPC recently held an off-cycle meeting at Xiaomiâs headquarters in Beijing, China. According to the report, 50W magnetic wireless charging was one of the topics discussed. Xiaomi already offers 50W wireless charging on many of its high-end phones. While the upgraded power limit has not been finalized yet, it could be released sometime in 2028.
