Like, seriously though… what did I miss? (for more context, listen to “What did I miss” by Drake while reading ~ Enjoy :)\7 months!\7 months and not a word from Mojo. Where did he go? What adventures did he embark on? What bottlenecks caught up with him? Is he ever going to pick up the pen? ~ For a moment, I thought I wasn’t.\7 months is such a long time… Let’s fill in the gaps, shall we… tune inInto my personal lifeAfter shortlisting the finalists for the Spacecoin Writing Contest hosted by HackerNoon and then subsequently achieving a winner title, I wrote two more posts, and poof.. like the avatar, I was gone.\That was the last HackerNoon seen from Mojo.\But that wasn’t the last of Mojo.Mojo found other hobbies. Mojo chased other passions. Mojo was becoming what Mojo was meant to be - all thanks to HackerNoon for setting that stepping stone through their contests initiative.\You might think that prize money can’t change your life. Well, think again. Thanks, HackerNoon! Check out my winning article here: https://hackernoon.com/from-starlink-to-depin-how-satellites-are-powering-a-decentralized-internet\But yeah, coming back to me, after the prize money, I took into video editing (which I loved btw), briefly took a course on graphic design (that didnt end too well😬), wandered off into content creation, drifted a bit into data analysis (I enjoyed that one), and dived full-time into video editing, got a few gigs… did a few jobs, then reinvested a section of my profits as well as all my previous prize earnings into building a solid online store brand called…\I did all this, and I enjoyed every single learning and failing experience, but something felt off.\Throughout my offset experience, I just couldn’t find the time to not write. Even if it was a jot, a short speech, or even a draft I’d never get to post. I just couldn’t drop the pen. All this while, I was too caught up in defining my own path, and deep down, even though I know writing isn’t that path, I don’t think I’ll be doing without it anytime soon - Kinda like it’s almost a part of me.\It made me ask a question over and over again, “Can one truly stop writing?”\A friend of mine once said ‘Once a writer, always a writer,” and he was referring to me, unfortunately, but yeah, I think there was some truth in his words after all. You win, Emmanuel. And in all my journeying, the road led me back here, where it paused momentarily, and I’m hoping to pick it back up again. Hopefully. If you like these kind of writeups better than my other posts, do let me know (This probably isn’t the platform for it anyway… lol).\But yeah, I’ll see you on my next tech writeup next week. Stay tuned.
