Indian smartwatch maker FireBoltt is set to launch its Boltt brand of 4G and 5G smartphones in August, targeting consumers priced out by recent hikes. Priced between Rs 12,000-17,000, the company is investing over $50 million, aiming for 0.5-1 million unit sales initially. This strategic move follows a slump in the smartwatch market, with FireBoltt aiming to replicate its wearable success in the affordable smartphone segment.
