Sega announced that a Switch 2 version of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will show up worldwide on October 29, 2026 and include the Infinity Castle DLC character pass. This follows an existing Switch version that showed up at launch in August 2025. There will be a free Upgrade Pack for people who already own the game and want to update the base game. As a reminder, this picks up where the first game left off and covers the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training arcs from the manga and anime.  There are basically two major changes for the Switch 2 version of the game. One involves performance. The other involves characters. Any Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Switch 2 owner will be able to play with people using the Switch version of the game. They’ll also see the game run at a consistent 60fps. It will look better as well.  The other addition is the “+ Infinity Castle” Character Pass mentioned, though that is only included if people buy the $59.99 version of the game. (Retail copies include the add-ons). This means that Switch 2 version also includes Akaza (Infinity Castle), Doma, Giyu Tomioka (Infinity Castle), Kaigaku, Shinobu Kochi (Infinity Castle), Tanjiro Kamado (Infinity Castle), and Zenitsu Agatsuma (Infinity Castle).  Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 + Infinity Castle Character Pass will come to the Switch 2 on October 29, 2026. The game is already available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.  We may earn a commission if you purchase from certain links.
