The Hindu In school and BPCL to organise 15-day cleanliness campaign - The HinduPublished - June 30, 2026 12:40 am IST - ChennaiThe Hindu In School, in association with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), is set to roll out “Swachhata Pakhwada 2026”, a 15-day nationwide cleanliness initiative aligned with the Government of India’s flagship Swachh Bharat Mission.Swachhata Pakhwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) aims at transforming cleanliness into a people’s movement through innovative ideas and active community participation. The initiative reflects the Government of India’s vision of making cleanliness a sustained national habit.As part of this initiative, 50 select government schools in Chennai will participate in the programme from July 1 to July 15. The campaign is designed to engage students of diverse age groups through creative and thought-provoking competitions such as drawing, slogan, and essay writing.The top 10 performers in each category will be recognised.
