Nirmalkumar on Tuesday claimed that “efforts” by the DMK and the AIADMK to form a government through the “backdoor” were still on.Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nirmalkumar said the truth behind the “efforts” involving the DMK, the AIADMK and the BJP to form a government in the State after the results to prevent the TVK from assuming office had begun to emerge. “Even now, the DMK and the AIADMK are continuing their efforts to somehow form a government. Some senior leaders and MLAs of the DMK were not in agreement with such attempts. It is not known how many leaders will leave the DMK,” he said.Responding to a question on his recent meeting with Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Lok Bhavan, the Minister said it was a routine official meeting as he was in-charge of the Lok Bhavan portfolio. Asked whether the meeting was held to press the Governor to grant sanction for action against former Ministers, he said: “There is no need to meet the Governor in person to exert pressure. The file has already been sent. It is his responsibility to make a decision. These are all normal procedures. If there is any reason for not taking a decision, he will have to explain it.”Replying to a question on whether the party had planned to take action against Minister for Human Resources Management D.
