Setting aside an NCLT verdict, the apex court emphasized that such fabricated citations contaminate the justice system. The Bar Council of India is directed to form a committee to address this issue and prescribe disciplinary actions for lawyers submitting unverified AI material. The court stressed maintaining human oversight in AI-assisted adjudication.
