GBPUSD Before NFP — No Short Without Strong DataGBP/USDOANDA:GBPUSDOneTwoMarketGBPUSD is moving aggressively to the upside right now, so I don’t want to force a short position just because price is high. For me, this setup is only valid if NFP comes out positive and supports the U.S. dollar. If NFP is strong, the market could start pricing a stronger dollar reaction, and GBPUSD may reject from the current resistance area around: 1.3390 – 1.3420 In that case, a short setup could make sense, with the downside target around: 1.3250 area The invalidation level remains above the resistance zone, around: 1.3465 Important: Without a positive NFP result, this setup is not active for me. If NFP is weak or the dollar fails to react positively, I would avoid the short because GBPUSD could continue pushing higher. This is not a blind sell. This is a conditional NFP setup. Strong NFP = short idea valid. Weak NFP = no trade.
