The 30-year-old went on to enjoy an impressive season, scoring seven goals in 45 appearances and playing a key role in securing Spurs Premier League status.Tottenham will hope Fernandes can eclipse his compatriots from the past. The most goals scored by a Portuguese player at Spurs remain Palhinha’s seven, while the longest stay stands at three years, and the most appearances at 57.
