“The US’s first hypersonic weapon, already at least two years late for deployment in the field, is facing delays yet again — this time over unresolved production issues,” Bloomberg reports.“The missiles are capable of flying faster than five times the speed of sound and are far more difficult to intercept than slower missiles. Russia has reported using hypersonic missiles as part of its invasion of Ukraine.”
