Anushree as its Kannur district president and Mohammed Afsal as district secretary at its district conference held at Koothuparamba Rakthasakshi Nagar in Thalassery.The newly elected office-bearers include V.K. Nishad, A.P. Anveer and Shibin Kanayi as vice-presidents; P.M. Akhil, P.P. Anish and P.P. Sidin as joint secretaries; and Mohammed Siraj as treasurer.Ms. Anushree’s election marks a milestone in the history of the DYFI Kannur district unit, as she becomes the first woman to hold the post of district president.
