Friends, family, and cast members of Storage Wars were present on Monday to honor the life of Darrell Sheets, who died by suicide earlier this year. As the A&E series continues with new episodes on the 2026 TV schedule, Dave Hester and other notable names were present to pay homage to their friend. Hester has spoken at length about his friendship with Sheets, as news of Storage Wars stars chipping in to help fund his memorial service made headlines. Check out the photos he posted to his Instagram Stories below: Dave Hester/Instagram StoriesDave Hester/Instagram StoriesDave Hester/Instagram StoriesIt looks like a lovely service, and I appreciate the picture Dave Hester took with Darrell Sheets' son Brandon. These types of events are never easy to attend, but it looks like everyone made the best of the situation. More On Storage Wars'We're A Big Family And We're Going To Keep Going.' As Storage Wars Airs New Episodes After Darrell Sheets' Death, The Cast Speaks OutThe service itself sounded like a real celebration of "The Gambler," complete with slot machines for attendees to play. EW also reported that there were novelty $20 bills that contained Darrell Sheets' face, along with his tagline "The wow factor" on it as well. 67 doves were also released as a part of his memorial, representing each life that he spent living. Darrell Sheets' death came as a shock to many, as the Storage Wars cast was together when they learned the news. As the details of his suicide came to light, others opened up about the fact that he'd been a victim of cyberbullying and was suffering pretty badly from it as a result. Sheets even posted a message on social media, talking about the dark times he was going through. The memorial service feels like the beginning of the end of this chapter, as questions mount about what will become of Darrell Sheets' shuttered business. Brandon Sheets confirmed the business will reopen eventually, allowing fans of Storage Wars to show up and pay homage to the late reality television star over the years. Plus, I'm sure there's plenty of great things there for sale, many of which Sheets curated in his long tenure of purchasing storage lockers to see what treasures they contained. As previously mentioned, Storage Wars will continue, and it's worth noting that Sheets had not been on the series for some time leading up to his passing. This was mainly due to prior health complications, which reduced his role in the show and eventually led to him exiting the show entirely. Even so, many who followed the show surely remember him, and his legacy will live on through classic reruns and all that his family is setting up in honor of him. Past episodes of Storage Wars with Darrel Sheets can be found on AETV, Tubi, and Pluto TV. Those looking to honor the late reality star would do well to check those episodes out and pay homage to "The Gambler," as many of his friends and family recently did.
