A woman on TikTok recorded her reaction in the moments after she was approached by a creep in a parking lot who approached her out of nowhere and made a totally inappropriate remark towards her. The whole ordeal left her shaken and unable to hold back tears as she stated she hadn’t even done anything to attract the man’s attention. TikToker “XEL” recorded the video moments after the frightening interaction, she still appears to be visibly distressed from the whole ordeal as she vents through her frustration, “I wanted a f—ing Diet Coke from McDonald’s.” She explains that while she was parked in the parking lot she had her car window rolled down, “I’m allowed to want my window down when I’m sitting in my f—ing car,” she says through tears. As she was sitting in her car she noticed a man approaching her vehicle. Luckily she was able to roll up her window before he got to the car, however, that didn’t protect her from the disgusting words he said to her next. “He comes up and he tells me ‘I wanna pull your hair so hard that you cry.’” @pale.pigment Sorry for crying just overwhelmed and posting to spread awareness/ warn women in Dawsonville GA. #dawsonville #Georgia #awareness #spreadawareness ♬ original sound – XEL “I was so caught off guard and scared and just like weak,” XEL says. After he made the inappropriate comment she claims the man slammed his hands on her window several times before walking away and laughing like it was all a joke to him. Spreading awareness XEL stated that her video was a warning to the people in Dawsonville, Georgia, to avoid the man she described. The clip quickly went viral receiving almost 20 million views and 4.5 million likes in four days. The clip also spreads awareness of the behaviors many women have to put up with regularly from creepy men. Plenty of other women have shared similar experiences on the platform which reveals the unfortunate reality of how normal and common this kind of behavior is becoming. The people of TikTok were quick to offer XEL their support, assuring her that her response to the situation was valid and that she wasn’t overreacting, “Fawning is totally normal as a response to danger,” explained one commenter, “please don’t think it’s a reflection of your strength.” Others told her, “Your [sic] not overreacting.” XEL thanked the viewers on TikTok for their support claiming they helped her get in contact with the manager of the parking lot. She was able to find out that the man who had harassed her had allegedly done the same thing to a 14-year-old girl and several other women and police were aware of him but unable to do anything as he has not done anything physical as far as they know.
