Students looking to specialise in cutting-edge digital technologies can once again apply for funding through the Pathfinder Digital Scholarship, which has been relaunched with a total budget of €150,000.The scheme supports students pursuing Master’s (MQF Level 7) and Doctoral (MQF Level 8) studies in fields that are expected to play a key role in Malta’s digital future.Eligible areas include Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, High Performance Computing (HPC), Digital Trust, Technology for Sustainability & ESG, and other emerging technologies.Announcing the relaunch, Parliamentary Secretary for Digital Transformation Keith Azzopardi Tanti said Malta must continue investing in people’s skills to keep moving forward. Last year, 23 people benefited from the scheme, including 17 Master’s students and six PhD candidates.Prospective applicants are being encouraged to take advantage of the funding and apply before the deadline.Applications for the Pathfinder Digital Scholarship close on 14th August 2026.•
