Kadapa administration slaps PD Act on red sanders smuggler - The HinduPublished - July 01, 2026 09:03 pm IST - KADAPAThe Kadapa district administration slapped Preventive Detention (PD) Act on an inter-State red sanders smuggler, who allegedly has five cases in various police station limits, including a POCSO case.A native of Khadarpalli village in Chapadu mandal of Kadapa district, 25-year-old Shaik Shafi reportedly resorted to felling and smuggling red sanders logs by using his contacts with smugglers in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
